Looking for an HVAC installation technician with 2+ years of experience in new air conditioning, air-source heat pump, hydronic oil & gas heating, and new hot water systems. An exciting opportunity for HVAC technicians looking to enter the green HVAC field, with a concentration on residential air-to-air heat pump installation. To meet the increasing demand for air source heat pump installers for residential homes, we are looking for exceptional performance and response, complimented by a highly trained, licensed, and friendly staff member willing to learn and grow with C & R Housing.

-Install heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with requirements and manufacture specifications.
-Experience in refrigeration systems, including evacuation, charging, and brazing refrigerant pipe
-Fabricating ductwork offsets on plenums and building rigid trunk lines in sheet metal
-Joining pipe of various materials (copper, PEXa, HDPE)
-Handling low voltage control wiring
-Recovery/reclamation of refrigerants according to HVAC/R industry standards and best practices
-Perform startups, test, balance, and complete diagnostics (e.g. calculate and measure CFM)
-Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, plan sets, and sequence of operations to ensure proper installation and operation of equipment
-Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
-Follow detailed work instruction and collaborate in the process of refining those instructions to standardize work quality

NATE core certification required or ready to take test, with opportunity for paid additional certifications (specialty exam for air source heat pump, additional HVAC certifications).
A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 plus years of field experience in HVAC; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required.
General knowledge and experience with range of residential HVAC systems
Ability to follow wiring diagrams for control wiring of heat pumps and accessories
Knowledge of ductwork sizing with the ability to do sheet metal work
Installation of hydronic/radiant floor systems, including circulators and zone valves
Must possess a valid drivers license in good standing
EPA Certification: Type I and Type II or Universal Required
Applicants should be in good physical condition due to the physical nature of installing loop piping and the installation and removal of heating and AC units
