This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of HUD Scattered Site Housing Program, OASAS Permanent Supportive Housing Program and Garden Lofts at Marine Hospital.
Provides administrative oversight of the housing programs and housing staff.
Acts as primary contact with HUD Representative, HAWNY, OASAS and other housing funding sources
Responsible for HUD grant management, including oversight of program implementation.
Keeps up-to-date with regulatory or policy changes that impact program activities, goals, objectives and outcomes.
Evaluates grant/contract data to monitor grant/contract compliance
Responsible for data collection and reporting; as well as the integration of information with department personnel.
Completes HUD applications and related reports.
Trains staff in procedures and requirements of any grants/contracts as they are established in the agency.
Evaluates statistical data inputting by program staff and interaction for accuracy. Must facilitate, train or re-train staff for inaccurate or poor reporting, primarily in CRS database and BAS-NET
Reviews budget and analyze spending patterns
Initiates and/or assists with policy development for grant or contract implementation and operations.
Searches for new grant programs for which the agency may be eligible, including review of subscription grant publications or website access.
Oversees and provides professional development of the housing staff.
Oversees purchases of program supplies for staff and furnishings/appliances for residents.
Carries out additional duties essential to the above stated responsibilities as assigned.
Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others.
Master’s degree in a Social Sciences or Human Services field and a Qualified Health Professional status. Three years’ paid work experience in substance use, mental health, or human services. Work experience must include one year of clinical supervisory work experience and one year of administrative work experience including fiscal responsibilities or
Bachelor's degree in a Social Sciences or Human Services field and a Qualified Health Professional status. Five years’ paid work experience in substance use, mental health, or human services. Work experience must include two years of clinical supervisory work experience and one year of administrative work experience including fiscal responsibilities.
Must possess a valid New York State driver's license
