Salary Range: $18.00 To $21.00 Hourly
The Home Care Administrative Coordinator is responsible for participating in the planning and scheduling of patient visits in addition to performing tasks in support of Liberty staff.Major responsibilities include maintaining daily staff schedules, coordinating services with contracted agencies, constant communication with staff regarding all job related issues, preparing reports as necessary.
Qualifying all requests for proper insurance information and authorization where applicable.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Maintain daily staff schedules
• Collaborate with team to provide ongoing information regarding patient needs
• Process requests for home care services/referrals
• Ensure all information/documentation required for billing claims to insurance provider(s) is collected and completed. Including but not limited to Certificates of • • Medical Necessity (CMN’s), prescriptions, and physician’s orders
• Collaborate with designated individuals on record reviews, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling/coordinating for Licensed Home Care patients as well as Consumer Directed Patient Attendant services (CDPAS)
• Assigns personnel as directed by the Director of Patient Services/Director of Liberty Home Care/designee
• Assists Durable Medical Equipment (DME) department with processing requests for medical equipment
• Maintains and updates internal systems used for scheduling personnel, tracking
• Ongoing communication with staff regarding job assignments, requirements and other job related issues
• Creates and maintains all pertinent patient files, primarily in electronic format
• Maintain documentation of changes in schedules and reports of concerns from both clients and staff
• Contact patients, insurance providers, clients and others to ensure compliance with current business related policies and procedures
• Prepares reports as necessary. Including but not exclusive to weekly referral reports, staffing needs, time and attendance reports, issues reports
• Verify timecards and identify any variances in actual versus time scheduled for payroll and billing as necessary
• Participates in quality assurance, employee recognition activities and corporate representation as assigned
• Will assist with interpretation for all Spanish speaking customers for all departments within Liberty Home Care as needed
• Assist with community outreach opportunities as needed
• Supports the mission, vision, values, and goals of Liberty Home Care
• Present the organization in a pleasant and professional manner at all times
• Maintain strict confidentiality of information
• On-call responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal)
• Demonstrates a sympathetic attitude toward those in need of care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Associates degree preferred or relevant work experience in a similar setting
• Demonstrates excellent telephone etiquette
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to perform data entry and look at a computer screen for up to seven hours daily
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office products
• Willingness to accept on-call assignments when necessary
Working Conditions
• Work performed in a professional office environment
• Physical ability including but not limited to: walking, bending, stopping, climbing stairs, sitting and speaking on the telephone for long periods of time
• Intermittent reaching, stooping bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Periodically lifting up to 50 pounds
• Vision acuity correctable to normal
