The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center is accepting resumes for the position of Executive Chef.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Supervising preparation and cooking of high volume food service
-Develop and implement creative menu items, responsible for rolling out new menus
-Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, hiring, coaching, and evaluating
-Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
-Develops standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation that help to assure consistently high quality while minimizing food costs;
-Ensures portion control for all items served and assists in determining menu selling prices
-Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment (ServSafe)
-Maintains physical presence during times of high business volume
-Attends food and beverage staff and management meetings

Qualifications:
-At least 3 years as an executive chef-In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
-Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
-Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
-Proficient in general computer knowledge
-Strong training and communication skills
-Culinary education and / or on the job training
-Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
