Salary Range: $71,312 - $72,812 Plus Generous Benefits Package

We are dedicated to our core values of providing excellent service, being continually innovative and most importantly, providing our customers and staff with the highest level of integrity in all areas of our work.The Coordinator for Policy Services works with the Manager of Policy Services to provide assistance to school districts throughout New York State in the area of policy development, development and maintenance of policy and administrative manuals, specialty handbooks, and other policy related areas.
The Coordinator also provides assistance in monitoring of home school instruction to School Districts participating in the service along with the Manager of Policy Services/Home School Monitoring Service. Reviews each student’s Individual Home Instruction Plan (IHIP), quarterly reports, and annual assessment, ensuring full compliance with the Commissioner’s regulations.
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
Must hold permanent status as a Coordinator, Policy Services; or; Must meet minimum qualifications for provisional appointment as follows:
A) Possession of a Master’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Education or closely related field and one (1) year of experience performing research or communications activities relating to either governmental planning or K-12 school operations; or;
B) Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Education or closely related field and three (3) years experience performing research or communications activities relating to either governmental planning or K-12 school operations; or;
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

- Excellent research skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to travel to school districts throughout New York State, as needed
