OVERVIEW
We are a growing Tonawanda, NY, based company focused on delivering the highest quality educational resources to teachers and students.
We own two separate websites that provide printable and interactive online learning resources for elementary school teachers.
We currently have an opening for a Content Developer to write, produce, and design online lessons and printable resources for K-8 subjects including Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science. You will be developing training content that is fresh, current, and centered around our mission to produce high quality materials to support teachers and students.
This job will be demanding and rewarding with a focus on delivery of quality content. You will need to be detail oriented with a production mindset. Your work will have a direct impact on the success and profitability of the company through development of effective and efficient learning content that delivers an outstanding experience and ROI to our customers.
(Note – this is not a graphic design or online training role!)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, author, edit, and implement interactive online lessons and printable resources for our websites in topics such as math, science, social studies, and ELA.
Research when required to obtain complete, correct, and current information – Common core standards, elementary curricula etc.
Proofread and edit content for proper use of grammar, punctuation, style, and brand guidelines.
Review and test content for accuracy and usability.
Assist the sales team to produce training outlines to provide to clients.
Review and evaluate lessons and handouts as part of our continuous improvement quality program.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of developments in elementary curricula and Common Core standards.
Possess a strong understanding of how people learn and instructional design principles
Strong writing and content development skills, focused attention on details with the ability to analyze, organize, and effectively communicate ideas through writing
Familiar with, or willing to learn, K-8 math, English, social studies, and science curricula, with the ability to quickly grasp new subject matter
Detail-oriented with excellent written and spoken English language skills
Strong competence in proofreading/editing with a focus on spelling, grammar, and content errors in own writing and that of others
Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining quality work
Strong advisor/partnering skills to work effectively with peers, subject matter experts, and other members of the development team
Resourceful in finding information and fact-checking
Coachable and flexible with a willingness to shift gears and contribute where needed

Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field preferred
Content creation, writing, teaching, or tutoring experience
