IT Consultant (Level 3)
Information technology consultants advise, plan, design, install and maintain information technology systems for our clients. Successful IT consultants have outstanding technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with clients.
IT consultants are contracted to work with industrial and commercial clients who are seeking help and advice about business and IT problems.
A typical project involves:
determining information system requirements
compiling and presenting information
writing reports and documentation
installing IT systems and software
repairing computer problems and removing viruses
A flexible attitude to working patterns is also helpful as travel and some periods of working away from home may be required. Day-to-day responsibilities of this role can range from basic end user desktop support (local workstation troubleshooting, printer issues, software questions, etc…) to performing server and network infrastructure setups. The right individual will possess critical thinking skills and advanced troubleshooting logic. While possessing the skills to work on a team are important, this individual will also need to be able to complete many of their tasks independently as needed. This individual will possess resourceful problem solving skills with experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems; familiarity with Cloud technologies; proficiency with networking protocols such as TCP/IP routing; and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.

Associates Degree in an IT Related Field (minimum), Bachelor’s Degree in an IT Related Field (preferred)
5+ Years of related experience
Strong hands-on/practical experience with the following technologies: Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016, Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010/2012/2016, Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, Active Directory, Firewalls (Sonicwall), Switches, Routers, DNS, DHCP.
Must possess hand-on experience working with LAN/WAN technologies.
Ability to problem solve and to work well in a team or individually.
Strong Troubleshooting skills.
Must have the capability to work in a highly visible, fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Exceptional organization skills and oral/written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with customers in a NON technical way.
For this role you must have your own vehicle, as you will be traveling to and from client sites daily.
Technical certifications are a plus but are not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
