Casual (as needed), Hourly, Non-exempt / Hourly Rate: $16.00-$16.50 hourly / Main Office: Buffalo, Erie County
Wraparound is an empirically supported, family-driven, strengths-based planning approach that provides individualized care using an array of formal services and natural supports. It provides a comprehensive, holistic, youth and family-driven way of responding when children or youth experience complex health or behavioral challenges. CSWs partner with Care Coordinators.
DUTIES / TASKS (not necessarily all inclusive)
• Work flexible schedules
• Assist the child with task completion, communication, socialization, interpersonal behavior, sensory, motor development
• Implement activities designed to assist the child in developing and enhancing essential skills
• Participate with the child in communication, activities of daily living, problem-solving, managing money, and reducing unhealthy behaviors
• Provide transportation to and from services and activities
• Model and practice sensitivity, patience, fair treatment, and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions
• Consider the cultural, environmental, and safety issues surrounding the child and those in the child’s sphere
• Supervise the child and engage the child in recreational activities that support his/her constructive interests and abilities
• Provide respite in the child's home, and other sites within the community that best fit the needs of the child and family
• Motivate the child to engage in meaningful activities
• Complete any reports or assignments on time

• Must be able to work remotely and in-person / No barriers to commuting
• Must be able to transmit and receive information electronically without obstacle
• Must start with and maintain a clear criminal background / and driving record
• Must have own, reliable transportation carrying and maintaining a minimum of 100/300 auto liability coverage
• Must have a valid NYS Driver License
• Work independently and meet timelines; Operate in a multi-tasking environment; Able to rationally prioritize
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs
• Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals, groups, staff, and a diverse population
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information; Maintain accurate records
• Effectively communicate in both oral and written form; Intermediate computer skills; Able to use MS Office with ease
