Medaille College Campus Public Safety Department seeks part-time campus public safety officers for night, weekend and holiday shifts. Officers will be responsible for providing a safe and secure campus environment for a diverse community of students, faculty and campus departments. Officers primary responsibility will be to work proactively with the students, faculty, and staff to identify report, reduce, and remove the opportunity of crime and criminal behavior before it should occur. Officers will actively patrol campus buildings, grounds and parking lots, control traffic and parking as necessary, and provide customer service to the college community.
Successful candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills and be capable of handling and learning a wide variety of tasks. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Associates Degree as well as previous campus public safety, security or law enforcement experience preferred. Candidates must possess a current New York State Security Guard License, clean valid NYS Drivers license and certification in emergency first aid and/or CPR.
