A monitor, also known as a cafeteria monitor, is responsible for supervising students during lunch and recess periods and ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for students to eat and play.

We are currently seeking a Monitor to join our team within school environments.
This role involves a range of responsibilities, including monitoring students, assist with cleanliness of the cafeteria.
The ideal candidate will benefit from a schedule aligned with school hours, providing a work-life balance that allows for family time in the evenings.
Job duties may include:
· Monitoring students
· Circulating the cafeteria to ensure students are behaving appropriately, and encouraging them to wait in line, focus on eating, and pick up their trash. They may
also refer behavior problems to teachers or administration.
· Maintaining the cafeteria
· Cleaning and sanitizing tables, floors, and chairs, and replenishing utensils, napkins, and condiments. They may also assist with spills and recycling.
· Helping students
· Assisting students with lunch needs, such as opening packages and milk cartons, cutting food, and accompanying them to the bathroom or nurse. They may also
organize group games and activities.
· Encouraging good behavior
· Encouraging students to have good table manners and citizenship, and to leave the cafeteria in an orderly manner.
· Communicating with others
· Communicating with students and staff in a positive and professional manner, and informing administration of any needs or concerns.
· Dismissing students
· Dismissing classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time.
Requirements:
· Highschool Diploma/GED
· Reliable Transportation
· Excellent customer service skills
· Experience with working with children preferred
