Behavior Intervention Specialist Level 11

• Must possess National Board Certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and have a Master’s degree in behavior analysis, or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology which is approved by OPWDD review:
– Master’s degree in a clinical or a treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology or a related field; or a New York State license in Mental Health Counseling; and
– Have or obtain OPWDD-approved specialized training or experience in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development; and
– Have provided behavioral services for an agency in the OPWDD system continuously since December 31, 2012; or
– Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology or a related human services field; and function in the Psychologist I or Psychologist II Civil Services titles of New York State
• Significant knowledge and experience in serving individuals with challenging behaviors and or dual diagnosis preferred
• Experience in clinical assessment, intervention planning and implementation, and follow-up care
• Experience in providing clinical counseling services

Certifications:
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Full SCIP-R certified

Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Seeing, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, stretching and driving as well as the ability to perform all required movements required by the SCIP-R curriculum
• Exercising independent judgment, concentrating, thinking, communicating, interacting with others, managing multiple tasks and coping with stressful situations and deadlines
• The position may include lifting up to fiffty (50) pound
