This salary will increase upon settlement of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Hybrid schedule possible after 6 months

The Application Support Representative (ASR) would be part of a team supporting the nVision financial software application for 56 school districts. This individual would learn the nVision software and become an expert in how the nVsion application software functions. The ASR would answer calls and emails, trouble-shoot and collaborate with team members, to problem solve and assist districts with resolutions.

Training and Application Support:
1. Provides district software training, one on one, in small or large groups for all assigned services.
2. Provides telephone support to districts in assigned applications.
3. Investigates application problems, district questions or concerns. This may include logging of problems, communication and clarification of issues with vendor support people, performing quality control testing of software fixes and enhancements, documentation of the resolution and notification to the district.
4. Assists with conversion of data during implementation of assigned applications; completes district import/export requests.
5. Reviews both converted and manually-entered district data to ensure correct output.

Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
Must hold permanent status as Application Support Representative; or must be reachable on current Application Support Representative Civil Service list,
OR must meet minimum qualifications for provisional* appointment as follows:
A) Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of information technology experience involving software application support; OR;
B) Associate’s degree with 3 years of information technology experience involving application support; OR;
C) High School Diploma or GED with 5 years information technology experience involving software application support; OR;
D) An equivalent combination of training or experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C).

*The successful provisional candidate will be subject to a civil service exam at a later date.
