Adult/Continuing Education Literacy Instructor in Lockport, NY

Salary Range: $34.00 per hour.

Orleans Niagara BOCES is looking for an Adult/Continuing Education Literacy Instructor
Anticipated initial assignment is to be at the Lockport Adult Education Center, 50 Main Street, Lockport, NY.
The individual will provide instruction for the National External Diploma Program to adults aged 21 and over.
The instructor will work with students to master the eight NEDP competencies.
Experience working with adults to improve literacy skills and prepare for employment, excellent communication skills, self-starter, organized, and being personable are desired.
A bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required.
The individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire.
It is anticipated that an individual will qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops.
Regular attendance and dependability are required.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Assignment is subject to change.

Part-Time 4 hours per day = 12 hrs. week
Salary: $34.00 per hour.
